Do I need a hitch pin for my rucRak?

Every rucRak model uses a securing pin as part of its load-handling system.
For hitch-mounted models (GUNNY and upcoming CHIEF), this pin secures the rack or swing arm directly into a 2” receiver hitch and is an essential safety component.

The GRUNT is spare-mounted and does not install into a hitch receiver.

What does this hitch pin do?

The hitch pin locks your rucRak into the receiver, preventing movement, wobbling, or accidental disconnect while driving, hauling, or off-roading.

Will this hitch pin fit my vehicle?

If your vehicle has a standard 2" hitch receiver, this pin will fit. It works with SUVs, trucks, vans, RV tow vehicles, overland rigs, and UTVs with a 2" hitch.

Are there any vehicles this hitch pin does NOT fit?

Yes. Some Toyota models require a 4.5" usable length pin, which this one does not accommodate. Always check your owner’s manual for hitch pin length requirements.
